AMETHYSTE'S PICS

    AMETHYSTE'S BIO

    BREED : ENGLISH SHEEPDAO X HUSKY - FEMALE - 6 YEARS OLD

    • Suitable for which type of housing? (House, townhome, apartment?) All types with sufficient exercise
    • Is your dog good with other dogs? Yes according to the former owner but untested. Seems to engender some aggression/posturing from other dogs big and small while on leash without any confrontation being initiated by her. She responds with eager pulling and jumps.
    • Is your dog good with cats? Untested but no aggression or problem indications with cats met on the street.
    • Is your dog good with kids? Untested. But according to the former owner, yes; used to and well-mannered with babies and young children. She has good bite discipline and play behaviour; calms easily upon command.
    • Is your dog house trained? Yes.
    • Is your dog crate trained? Unknown.
    • Does your dog have any special needs? No.
    • Does your dog have any or display any aggression? (Toys, food or people?) No food or toy aggression with humans. Unafraid and eager to meet all humans. Untested with dogs though some posturing/pulling on leash when barked at by other dogs.
    • Is your dog playful? Extremely. She is always eager to play, fetch, pull etc. Very well-disciplined with wrestling, paws, play biting etc.
    • Does your dog like to snuggle? Very much so. Loves to snuggle on the couch and always eager to sit next to you or on your lap.
    • Does your dog know basic commands? (Sit, stay...) Yes: sit, lay down, up, stay, paw etc. She's very polite, seeking permission before using any furniture. Good in cars.
    • Does your dog know any special tricks? Unknown.
    • Does your dog like to go on walks? Yes. This is an active dog that will happily walk for many hours and still have energy to play. She is only moderately disciplined on leash and still hasn’t quite mastered pulling.
    • Does your dog have any fears? No.
    • Does your dog have any unique traits that you have noticed whether in personality or physically? She has a very endearing husky whine/howl and likes to talk to you but always stops when told.
    • What are the three first words that come to mind when you think of your dog? Keen, mature, energetic.

    • Amethyste is the quintessential good girl. She bonds quickly, has a naturally obedient and gentle temperament, and is easy to train. Always up for a walk or a game of fetch, she’s playful without being pushy and settles down easily when it’s time to relax. Mature and well-mannered, she still carries a puppy-like joie de vivre and energy. Amethyste would likely thrive in a variety of households and lifestyles, especially those who enjoy long walks and outdoor adventures.
