DIGBY'S PICS

    DIGBY'S BIO

    BREED : GERMAN SHEPHERD / HUSKY - MALE - 9 WEEKS OLD

    • Suitable for which type of housing? (House, townhome, apartment?): A house with a fenced yard.
    • Is your dog good with other dogs? Yes, totally. The foster family has 2 dogs and did very well.
    • Is your dog good with cats? Not really. The foster family owns 2 cats, and he often tries to chase them.
    • Is your dog good with kids? Unknown.
    • Is your dog house trained? Not completely yet, but he uses the pee pads most of the time, and he knows the backyard is the preferred place to go.
    • Is your dog crate trained? Yes, he does very well in a crate. Whether it’s overnight or during the day while his fosters are at work, he can spend time crated without any issues. He might whine for not more than 10 seconds but settles down very quickly. Also, when he gets a little too excited, the crate also works as a cozy spot where he can settle down and relax.
    • Does your dog have any special needs? No.
    • Does your dog have any or display any aggression? (Toys, food or people?) No.
    • Is your dog playful? He is very playful; he loves playing with other dogs and toys.
    • Does your dog like to snuggle? Yes.
    • Does your dog know basic commands? (Sit, stay...) No.
    • Does your dog know any special tricks? No.
    • Does your dog like to go on walks? Not tested yet, he doesn’t have all his vaccines.
    • Does your dog have any fears? No. He even handled his first encounter with the vacuum like a champ, staying calm and curious instead of scared.
    • Does your dog have any unique traits that you have noticed whether in personality or physically? Digby is a fun, energetic dog who loves to stay busy. He’ll be happiest with a family that enjoys being active and can give him plenty of physical and mental exercise. He’s very affectionate, loves being close to his people, and really aims to please. He’s curious, smart, and always ready to play. His striking blue eyes are sure to catch people’s attention.
    • What are the three first words that come to mind when you think of your dog? Energetic, joyful, affectionate.

    • Digby adjusted quickly to his foster family. He trusted them right away and became fast friends with the two resident dogs. He has no issues sharing his toys. He loves being active and playing like there’s no tomorrow, but he also understands when it’s time to relax. After a burst of playtime, he’ll even go by himself curl up in a dog bed for some quiet time. From the very beginning, he slept through the night in his crate without any trouble. He enjoys bath time and loves being around his humans and other dogs. He would do best in a home without cats, as he has shown a tendency to want to chase them. Like any young puppy, he likes to nibble during play, but he’s always gentle and never hurts anyone. He’s truly a sweet dog who wants to please and has so much love and kisses to give.
