- Suitable for which type of housing? (House, townhome, apartment?) Any, although backyard preferred
- Is your dog good with other dogs? She doesn't like when dogs get in her personal space, so would prefer to be the only dog in the house. On walks, she will let other dogs know she is unhappy if they get too close by lunging at them but she has never bitten. She is easy to control on leash. If the dogs are passing a few feet apart, no issues.
- Is your dog good with cats? untested, but fixates on rabbits and squirrels
- Is your dog good with kids?She loves kids and often tries to kiss them. Could live with children 5+ if they are respectful and on the calmer side.
- Is your dog house trained? Yes
- Is your dog crate trained? Has been crated due to recent knee surgery, but long term she won’t need one. She is housetrained and non destructive and has never gone into the crate without coaching (doesn’t like)
- Does your dog have any special needs? Has had TPLO surgery on her knee(recovered), has had some issues with protein in her urine; mild heart murmur
- Does your dog have any or display any aggression? (Toys, food or people?) None
- Is your dog playful? In small bouts with toys, but not with other dogs.
- Does your dog like to snuggle? Yes, she initiates contact and always wants to be near you. She loves being pet everywhere, especially belly rubs. She rolls around with pleasure.
- Does your dog know basic commands? (Sit, stay...) Sit, wait, lay down, paw, come
- Does your dog know any special tricks? She can catch treats
- Does your dog like to go on walks? Yes, she gets super excited when the leash comes out and walks very well on leash.
- Does your dog have any fears? Thunderstorms, fireworks, loud noises
- Does your dog have any unique traits that you have noticed whether in personality or physically? She has the cutest ears that seem to have a mind of their own.
- What are the three first words that come to mind when you think of your dog? gentle, sweet, loving
- Honey is the sweetest dog. She is super gentle with people of all ages, and loves both males and females. She loves her walks and being near her people. She would do best in a quieter environment, with no other pets. She has had no issues being left alone for 7.5 hours a day. If you are looking for a lower energy dog to join you on leisurely neighbourhood walks and to be your number one nap buddy, then Honey is the dog for you! She is the best snuggler and will be the greatest companion. She so deserves a home where she will be spoiled with lots of belly rubs, walks and love.
