Iron Man is supposed to be a shepherd cross. We think the cross is hound and he is more that than shepherd. Iron Man attachs quickly and then becomes your little wiggly shadow. He is a bit skinny and absolutely loves food and treats. He is working on being gentle but he still does not quite trust that you will take away his treat or food. He will learn though as he loves humans. Iron Man has not grasped peeing and pooping outside or on a pee pad but it is all new to him and he wants to please so it won't take too long with a dedicated family working on this.
Iron Man likes to play loudly - probably the hound in him. His furr though is thick and velvety soft. You won't want to stop patting him - and he will love that. Iron Man will do great in a single attached home with a fenced in back yard - hounds are known for their sense of smell and desire to follow their nose. He cries when you first put him into his crate but he settles down quickly for most of the night. He still needs to be brought out once during the night to releave his bladder but he should be able to learn how to hold it longer as each day passes. He can handle approx 3 hours in a crate during the day right now while he learns that a crate is for sleeping and peeing is not appropriate. This is expected due to his likely history but he will learn quickly.
Iron man gets so excited when he sees his human that he pees a little. I bet you don't have any friends that love you that much!
Iron Man will make an amazing addition to an active home as hounds and shepherds do have exercise and stimulation needs.
