ISABELLA'S PICS

    ISABELLA'S BIO

    BREED : HUSKY/GERMAN SHEPHERD MIX - FEMALE - 4 MONTHS OLD

    • Is your dog good with other dogs: Yes, Isabella is very curious about people and dogs. She gets to play with older dogs who give her the chance to play, play, play. She loves to be near her foster brother and like a little sister, wants everything he is playing with.
    • Is your dog good with cats: Yes, lived with cats for a short period and was comfortable playing and interacting.
    • Is your dog good with kids: Untested with smaller children.  Currently living with teens who can keep her going and manage her high energy moments. As she is a puppy she is learning to not jump and nip when running with an adult.
    • Is your dog house trained: Isabella lasts the night in her crate and is hitting 100% if the foster family are on top of watching clues and have trained her to ring bell hung on the door like her foster brother.
    • Is your dog crate trained: Isabella has learned to sleep in her crate all night in her foster parent's bedroom. She does not like being far from her family and is working on being in her crate for short times during the day. She knows the crate means treats and is comfortable going in and will continue to work on settling after the kong is done.
    • Does your dog have any special needs: currently working on being alone for short periods; no food special needs, seems to have a stomach of steel.
    • Does your dog have any or displace any aggression (toys, food, people): No (foster family is able to take food and toys away)
    • Is your dog playful: Very playful with dogs and humans and in her own with a ball... she is also great at calming down.
    • Does your dog like to snuggle: Yes, she would love to be a dog that cuddles with other dogs and people.
    • Does your dog know basic commands:  Isabella is very smart and is learning quickly: sit, lay down, wait, trea, catch. Learning: go to bed, and look at me.
    • Does your dog know any special tricks:  She is very good at figuring out treat/food puzzles, and can open the back door to let herself in!
    • Does your dog like to go on walks:  Yes, she was making good progress on leash with her foster family and learning to look at the handler for instructions.  She is learning she can't meet every dog and person.
    • Does your dogs have any fears: With her inquisitive nature she has not shown any fears... except she does not like being alone without people in the house but is working on it.
    • Does your dog have any unique traits you have noticed whether in personality or physically: Isabella is beautiful dog, and a good mix of playful and calm.  She is showing the smartness of her german shepherd-husky genes and as she is very food driven which has made her very trainable, and continues to show her big potential for training.  Her furever family will ideally keep her mind busy and body active.
    • What are the 3 first words that come to mind when you think of your dog: Smart, playful and full of love.

    • Isabella is curious and inquisitive, as a 5 month old puppy her mind and body are growing quickly and she is settling into hwe personality as she becomes settled in her foster home. We anticipate that she will be a very smart dog that would do well with a single person, a family, with an older dog or on her own.  She is looking to put down roots with a loving family who will be understanding of her genes as she learns to grow into a beautiful adult dog.
