Suitable for which type of housing? (House, townhome, apartment?): House or townhouse, can be vocal when people come to the door.
Is your dog good with other dogs? Yes
Is your dog good with cats? Unsure. Perhaps with slow introduction would be ok, as she has low prey drive.
Is your dog good with kids? She is nervous around the little, unpredictable ones – a family with older kids would be a better fit.
Is your dog house trained? Yes
Is your dog crate trained? Unknown - this hasn't been needed. She’s proven to be incredibly trustworthy when left home alone (not-crated). She’s been tested alone for up to six hours with no issues at all.
Does your dog have any special needs? Yes – mild intolerance to chicken
Does your dog have any or display any aggression? (Toys, food or people?) No, but she will bark from excitement when playing with other dogs and toys in the house.
Is your dog playful? Yes – loves to play with her toys, and will join in on a game of fetch, but she doesn’t seem overly interested in playing with other dogs.
Does your dog like to snuggle? Lindie loves being close by, lying at your feet. She likes to curl up next to or on you, and get belly rubs, but doesn't seem to want to be held too tightly.
Does your dog know basic commands? (Sit, stay...) Yes, lots! Sit, stay, shake a paw, high five, etc, but she prefers to show her skills when treats are being offered!
Does your dog know any special tricks? See above.
Does your dog like to go on walks? Lindie enjoys her daily walks and has wonderful leash manners. That being said, she’s a low energy gal and therefore does not need extensive walking or exercise. If other dogs she meets bark at her, she may join in on the excitement and bark back, but she had been responding very well to redirection.
Does your dog have any fears? In our time with Lindie, we have found her to be a very chill dog. She is fine with loud music, thunder, power tools, fireworks, etc.
Does your dog have any unique traits that you have noticed whether in personality or physically?
See below.
What are the three first words that come to mind when you think of your dog? Sweet, loyal, easy going.
Lindie is a sweet, easy-going girl who’s simply happy to be in good company. At five years old, she’s past the puppy stage and has settled into a relaxed, content rhythm. She enjoys her daily walk, shows excellent leash manners (her heel is impressive!), and is always eager to return home and get cozy.Lindie is a low-energy companion who prefers chill over chaos. While she loves playing with her toys—especially tug-of-war and fetch outdoors—she isn’t overly playful with other dogs and doesn’t rely on them for company. She adores chew treats, Kongs, and treat-dispensing toys, and she finds joy in quiet moments with her people.Though she can be vocal when excited or happy, especially when someone comes to the door or during an enthusiastic game of indoor fetch, her barking is driven more by stimulation than aggression. In fact, she feeds off the energy around her (including other dogs), so a calm home environment helps her stay relaxed.Lindie truly thrives when she’s near her humans. She loves being close—curled up beside you or resting at your feet—and she’s not one for being held tightly but definitely appreciates belly rubs and gentle affection. Her ideal home would be a peaceful one, with older children or adults, and without too much coming and going. If you’re looking for a calm, loyal, and kind-hearted companion, Lindie could be your perfect match.
