MOLLY CAKES' PICS

    MOLLY CAKES'S BIO

Welcome to Freedom Dog Rescue Animal Shelter

    • Suitable for which type of housing? (House, townhome, apartment?) – House with yard is best for her.
    • Is your dog good with other dogs? – At home great with other dogs yes, once has got to know them. Can be very reactive towards other dogs on leash and out walking.
    • Is your dog good with cats? – Unknown.
    • Is your dog good with kids? – Yes, 10 and up, 5- 10 with caution and supervision, 0-5 not tested but most likely difficult for her to be around them and be triggered.
    • Is your dog house trained? - Yes, she hasn’t had any accidents since she’s been in foster care in the home.
    • Is your dog crate trained? - She is newly trained. With the right crate and procedures, she happily goes and stays in her crate, when you leave the house, and appears to help her feel more calm.
    • Does your dog have any special needs? - She is an very anxious dog, she needs extra care and patience.
    • She seems to need some time to warm up to her toilet routine and structure. She is more comfortable with backyard or yard to do her business, and seems to have trouble going on her walks.
    • Does your dog have any or display any aggression? (Toys, food or people?) – Barking when anyone enters the house and from the window at people and other dogs. Is awful passing other dogs on leash barks and tries to race or lungse towards them. No toy, food or people aggression has been seen in the home. On walks she barks at people sometimes, but not very concerned about them. We think she did not get much exercise before coming into care, and is getting used to leash walks. She iIs very friendly towards kids and want to go to them.
    • Is your dog playful? – Yes, she whines for attention and to play with toys and balls, and wants you to interact with her. She plays with the other dog in the home regularly.
    • Does your dog like to snuggle? – Yes, she likes to be on the bed or couch with you or near you, and loves belly rubs.
    • Does your dog know basic commands? (Sit, stay...) – Yes, seems familiar with Sit, Stay, No, etc. but her attention, focus and obedience needs some time and effort. When motived she will listen more, but is easily distracted. When anxious, she won’t listen or obey, and treat motivation is not consistent. but love and quality time and comfort seems to help her make progress.
    • Does your dog know any special tricks? She loves to jump and chase at balls or the snow, she can jump quite high. She is also an invisible theif when it comes to helping herself to whatever is on your plate or in a bowl within her reach.
    • Does your dog like to go on walks? Yes, but she is anxious, and very leash reactive.
    • Does your dog have any fears? Her reactivity seems like fear of other dogs while on leash.
    • Does your dog have any unique traits that you have noticed whether in personality or physically? She is a beautiful dog, and likes to whine to talk to you a lot.
    • What are the three first words that come to mind when you think of your dog? Playful, loving and curious.

    • Molly would make a great best friend and champion to someone that would enjoy her energy, love, and meet her play needs and/or a home with one or more dogs for her to make friends with as well. She seems very healthy and loyal, and is very adorable.
