PEPPA'S PICS

    PEPPA'S BIO

BREED : MIXED BREED (LAB) - FEMALE - 7 MONTHS OLD

    • Suitable for which type of housing? (House, townhome, apartment?) Any but would benefit from having a yard to run around in.
    • Is your dog good with other dogs? Yes, she likes to play with other dogs. She can be a bit shy/timid at first and lets them know once she’s had enough.
    • Is your dog good with cats? Untested, she has a very strong prey drive so may chase them.
    • Is your dog good with kids? Only tested with 11 yr old. She jumps up and nips. She is afraid of younger children. She will not walk past the daycare when the kids are out playing and when we encountered some younger children (under 10) she tried to run away from them.
    • Is your dog house trained? For the most part. She doesn’t make noise to signal she has to go out but runs to the door. She only needs to go out during the night occasionally.
    • Is your dog crate trained? She is not fond of the crate but is getting better about being in it when we leave the house. She usually has a Kong with her and a fan on. She cries sometimes and pants and salivates when in there. She has been left for up to 8 hours during the day in the crate and rarely has an accident.
    • Does your dog have any special needs? No
    • Does your dog have any or display any aggression? (Toys, food or people?) No, does not react when food or toys have been taken away. Is OK with being touched while eating.
    • Is your dog playful? Very
    • Does your dog like to snuggle? Not really but is getting better about being rubbed.
    • Does your dog know basic commands? (Sit, stay...) Knows sit and starting to learn come.
    • Does your dog know any special tricks? No
    • Does your dog like to go on walks? Yes, usually she does not pull on the leash but likes to check out everything on the route. If she decides she wants to check something out she will dig her heels in and even lie down. If there is something on the route that she wants to avoid or go after she will pull on the leash.
    • Does your dog have any fears? Loud noises, sometimes cars, parking lots/plaza area, young children
    • Does your dog have any unique traits that you have noticed whether in personality or physically? She has some white on all four paws and her head and ears are a bit brownish. She can jump quite high and is a fast runner.
    • What are the three first words that come to mind when you think of your dog? Mischievous, smart, adorable.

    • Peppa is a very active and energetic pup. She loves to hang out in the backyard, running around or just chillin’. She is very excited to see/meet people and jumps up on her hind legs to try to get attention. She likes to be pet but will nip occasionally. She is very curious and likes to see what you are doing, jumping up to the counter or table but we are working on her manners. She is a bit of a thief and loves to steal socks from laundry baskets or the TV remote off the table if it is within reach. Her favourite game seems to be chase, whether it’s laundry she has stolen or sticks she picks up in the yard. You don’t even have to chase her much, just pretend to and she is off and running. She can jump quite high. This coupled with her energy may make her a good agility dog. She likes to be with people and when someone goes outside without her, she often runs around whining for a bit. She has started to bark at the dogs and people she can see out the window but generally only lets out a few barks to let you know there is something going on. She is getting better about being in her crate but does not usually go into it on her own. The time it takes for her to settle in her crate is getting shorter. She loves car rides and spends the trip watching out the window or snoozing.
