Pepper is supposed to be a shepherd cross. We think the cross is hound and she is more that than shepherd. She loves to play with anyone that will play with her. She is quite content to be in her crate chewing on a bone too. She has longer legs than her brother and big feet so she isn't going to be a tiny dog. Pepper is pretty coordinated and would do well in a home that likes to be outside in an environment that allows dogs to exercise. Pepper is showing that she is pretty smart so she could be a candidate for agility or just teaching fancy tricks to.
Pepper is vocal when she plays and likely the hound howl could come into play which would mean she would do best in a single family home. Maybe she won't be a howler but she does look like a hound afterall.
Pepper is trying to catch on to house training / pee pad training. She's smart so she will figure it out soon enough.
Pepper likes to play with the other doggies in her foster home and she will snuggle up with them too. But she is just as content sleeping alone in a different doggie bed. So she will do fine in a home with another active dog and/or an active family. She is very food motivated so she would need a home with kids old enough to know how to manage treats and a nippy puppy.
Pepper is working on it but we think with time and patience she will be a confident dog. Do you like going for hikes and walks? She will make the best loyal partner.
