We are a 100% volunteer-run rescue based in the Ottawa region, so we appreciate your patience and understanding throughout the process.

Is your dog good with other dogs? Untested
additional to add for dog interactions: She is good with other dogs when we cross path on our walks.
Is your dog good with cats? Untested
additional to add for cat interactions: She does seem to want to chase them when being outside while taking a stroll.
Is your dog good with kids? Untested
additional to add for kids interaction: She seemed to bark when little kids come close to her. She did growl at one for being on a small toddler bike from a distance.
Is your dog house trained? Yes
additional to add for house training: She does all her business outside. She will ask for the door if she urgently needs to go. Otherwise she can hold herself for several hours while I’m away at work or out running errands.
Is your dog crate trained? Yes
additional to add for crate training: She goes in her crate and seems to see it as a positive thing. When being asked in the crate she goes immediatly and gets rewarded with a treat.
Does your dog have any special needs?
She has a very high energy and requires a good amount of physical and/or mental stimulation.
Does your dog display any aggression (toys, food, people)? None so far.
Is your dog playful? Yes, she loves to play and fetch.
Does your dog like to snuggle? Absolutely. She loves to snuggle on the couch while watching some netflix. Sometimes she’ll get up on her own and take her own space on the couch, the floor or her bed. LOVES to cuddle in the bed at night and will be the first one to greet you good morning with some kisses and lots of love.
Does your dog know basic commands? (e.g., Sit, Stay)Sit, stay, down, up, lie down, off.
Does your dog know any special tricks?: N/A
Does your dog like to go on walks? LOVES LOVES LOVES! When it’s time to go, she knows. I’ll put my shoes on and she’ll calmly sit and wait till it’s her time to get the leash and out the door.
Does your dog have any fears? Water. She doesn’t like to have a bath.
Does your dog have any unique traits (personality or physical)? Loves to talk and engage in conversation when she likes from time to time.
What are the first three words that come to mind when you think of your dog? Sweet, loving and cuddle bug
In a short paragraph, please provide any other details or a brief overview of your foster dog.
She does very well on walks while walking her with a halti, which she is getting use to. We’ve encountered people and dogs and she doesn’t seem to be bothered. Enjoys walking with a dog friend. Loves her sniffings. Loves her food, eats her meals with a slow feeder so that she can take her time. Extremly treat motivated, as soon as there is food around you’ve got her complete attention. She is very good during human meal time, she’ll stay close with a bit of distance to let you have your meal. As much as she’s a high energy dog, when she’s had the appropriate physicial and/or mental stimulation, she’ll wind down for some good Netflix. Sleeps very well at night crate free.
