    Is Your Dog House Trained?
    Yes

    Is Your Dog Crate Trained?
    Yes

Additional to Add for Crate Training:
Not good with travel/fully covered crate, best in wired crate.

Does Your Dog Have Any Special Needs?
Zubert can become defensive in busy setting, lots of coming and going in a new setting. He may exhibits signs of nipping and barking in moment of stress. His new family will have to understand that he will need space and time to trust and decompress. He would do the best in a home setting that is quiet and predictable. Once he knows he is in a place of low traffic and predictability and is able to decompress and trust his people, his sweet self will come out. He would do well with experienced dog owners with reactivity and building trust with stressed dogs.

Please Note Freedom's Vetting Team's Notes:

Does Your Dog Display Any Aggression (Toys, Food, People)?

In his current foster home Zubert is friendly with all guests once he has the time to decompress and trust his handlers to advocate for him.

Yes. He is excited by lace up running shoes to chase and bite them. He has not shown interest in toys, chews or balls.

Does Your Dog Like to Snuggle?
Yes, he can be held like a baby for short periods. He loves belly rubs and gives kisses when encouraged. Zubert jumps into your lap when you pat your legs in invitation.

No, but he sure knows “uh uh” and it stops him in his tracks.

Does Your Dog Know Any Special Tricks?
    No

Does Your Dog Like to Go on Walks?

    Zubert is spectacularly bow legged!

What Are the First Three Words That Come to Mind When You Think of Your Dog?
    Happy, sweet and occasionally spicy!

In a Short Paragraph, Please Provide Any Other Details or a Brief Overview of Your Foster Dog.

Zubert came into rescue from a Kentucky shelter and, once settled into foster care, quickly showed what a loving and loyal little companion he is. He is an affectionate Terrier mix who enjoys being close to his people, happily following them from room to room, curling up nearby for naps, giving kisses, and soaking up belly rubs. He gets along well with the resident dog and cat in his foster home and is fully house trained and crate trained, preferring a wire crate over a covered travel crate. Zubert loves his daily walks, taking time to investigate every scent along the way, and he enjoys being brushed, groomed, and even bathed. While he is generally an easy-going dog in a calm, predictable environment, he can become overwhelmed in busy or unfamiliar settings with lots of activity or strangers approaching him quickly. When stressed, he may bark, growl, or nip defensively, so he will need a patient, experienced adopter who understands reactive dogs and will allow him the time and space to decompress and build trust. He also makes an excellent little watchdog and will alert when people approach the home, making an apartment unsuitable. Zubert will thrive in a quiet household with children aged 12 and older, where his sweet, happy personality can truly shine.
