KAYLA'S PICS

    KAYLA'S BIO

    BREED : ROTTWEILER X POODLE - FEMALE - 7 YEARS OLD

Suitable for which type of housing? (House, townhome, apartment?) House or townhome

Is your dog good with other dogs? Yes, she is currently being fostered with another dog and is excited to meet others on walks.

Is your dog good with cats? Untested, but not recommended.

Is your dog good with kids? Yes, older kids to live with, 12+ yrs old, would be ideal.

Is your dog house-trained? Yes, she can be left at home for an average workday.

Is your dog crate-trained? In her foster home, she stays in a spare bedroom when home alone. She didn’t use a crate in her previous home.

Does your dog have any special needs? No

Does your dog have any or display any aggression? (Toys, food or people?) See below under ‘fears’.

Is your dog playful? Yes, she loves playing with toys, playing fetch and running around in the yard. She barks sometimes when she’s excited.

Does your dog like to snuggle? She is very affectionate and loves pets, booty scritches and being around people all the time.

Does your dog know basic commands? (Sit, stay...) She knows her name, sit, paw, come, eat your food, go to your bed, no and off.

Does your dog know any special tricks? She’s taught herself to pick up her leash and take it to the door when it’s time for a walk.

Does your dog like to go on walks? Yes, she loves walks and can easily do 7+ km a day. Going on walks is a part of her new daily routine. She is working on walking with a loose leash and passing other dogs less excitedly. A headcollar/halti for walks is recommended.

Does your dog have any fears? Very afraid of the vet and getting her nails trimmed.

Does your dog have any unique traits that you have noticed whether in personality or physically? She loves to lean against you and nudge your hand for pets. When you get home from work she greets you excitedly with spins and lots of love.

What are the three first words that come to mind when you think of your dog? Happy, loving and energetic.

In a short paragraph, please provide any other details or a brief overview of your foster dog.

Kayla is a very loving, sweet girl who is looking for an active couple or family without young children. She is med-high energy; likes playing with her toys, running in the yard and going for long walks, but will also happily curl up beside you and watch a movie. She is currently being fostered with a calm 45 lb dog. She would do well either living with another dog or being the only dog in the house, so she can hog all the attention to herself. Kayla has had a lot of changes in her life recently and is looking forward to finding her furever home.
