MEESHA

    MEESHA'S BIO

    BREED : POMERANIAN X - FEMALE - 1 YEARS OLD

    • Suitable for which type of housing? House - additional to add for housing : She is very vocal, a house with no shared walls would be best.
    • Is your dog good with other dogs? Yes - additional to add for dog interactions : loves making new freinds with dogs, initially she gets in their faces but calms down pretty quickly.
    • Is your dog good with cats? No - additional to add for cat interactions : She isn't necessarily bad with cats, but she loves to bark and them and chase them. This may subside over time, but she has been chasing my cats for 5 days and met a cat at the vet today and went after her right away.
    • Is your dog good with kids? Untested
    • Is your dog house trained? In Progress - additional to add for house training : She will do her business outside, but prefers to go #2 in the house...
    • Is your dog crate trained? Yes
    • Does your dog have any special needs? We are monitoring her spay incision to ensure it does not get infected. She possibly had kennel cough at intake but has been on antibiotics to treat it and it seems to be working, if she even had kennel cough to begin with. No coughing noticed, some reverse sneezing and regular sneezing when she gets excited.
I am working on her behavior regarding humping. She thinks its funny, I'm trying to not react and stop the behavior when it happens.
    • Does your dog display any aggression (toys, food, people)? The only aggression I noticed from Meesha was on intake day in a parking lot after she had traveled for 2 days from Kentucky. She would not allow me to put my hand int he crate so I simply moved the crate from transport vehicle to my own. Once we got home and I opened the crate she came out right away and started giving me kisses and jumping on my lap. She will allow me to remove toys when she is playing with them and has allowed me to move her food mid-eating with no issues.
    • Is your dog playful? Meesha is extremely playful and full of energy all the time! She loves to play with humans as much as toys. She is destructive with stuffies though and they do not last long with her around.
    • Does your dog like to snuggle? She does at night once she winds down. There are nights that she has slept in her crate and others where she has slept at my feet and she does very well in both scenarios.
    • Does your dog know basic commands? (e.g., Sit, Stay) Untested
    • Does your dog know any special tricks? Untested
    • Does your dog like to go on walks? Yes but she pulls on the leash so a harness is recommended vs a collar.
    • Does your dog have any fears? None noted as of yet.
    • Does your dog have any unique traits (personality or physical)? She loves to jump, and the vet office just nicknamed her "popcorn" as she never stops. She has big puppy personality and loves to make everyone laugh. She loves to give kisses.
    • What are the first three words that come to mind when you think of your dog?energetic, cute, spitfire

Meesha is a spirited little black Pomeranian mix just over a year old, and she brings pure joy wherever she goes. With boundless energy and a personality that fills the room, she has earned nicknames like “popcorn” for the way she bounces with excitement around new people, and “spitfire” for her nonstop enthusiasm. Playful, affectionate, and always eager to be the center of attention, Meesha turns every moment into an adventure. She is still figuring out cats and is currently convinced they are meant to be chased and barked at, but she is learning. Crate trained and proud of her cozy safe place, she is also beginning to discover that a big, comfy bed can be pretty great too. Meesha is a tiny dog with a huge heart, and she makes every day brighter.
